Early Morning Post

I'm having trouble sleeping tonight so I figured I would capitalize on this opportunity to update my blog, since a certain sister-in-law stated that she was waiting for me to post my Amsterdam pictures before she updated her blog. (Of course, now I have eight blog posts since January to her measly two, but you know who’s counting). Things have been pretty crazy since we got back from India. The weekend after we got back we moved into a nice new townhouse! Thank you so much Cindy and Cameron for helping us!!!!!! The move went pretty smooth. However, I can say this because I was not allowed to really do anything. If I wanted to see Karthik have a heart attack all I had to do was lift a box that was over 3 pounds. My job was supposed to be organizing everything once it was put into the new apartment, but I had no idea that watching people work could be so exhausting!! Consequently, I fell asleep after everything was moved and woke up around midnight to see that Karthik pretty much had everything done. So far we really like the new apartment, though sometimes I feel as if I’m in someone else’s house. One day I’ll post pictures of the new apartment. I’m excited because this going to be the first weekend to really sit and rest since we have gotten back! Evidently when you are on vacation work and home stuff does not just disappear; they just pile up and patiently await your return instead. I’m super excited to go to San Antonio for Easter! I can’t wait to have the whole family together (with a pool)!!! Okay, well it seems that my body is telling me to either make some biscuits (with jelly….yum) or go back to bed. Considering we don’t have the ingredients to make biscuits (that’s right Mom, we don’t have flour) or jelly, I guess I’ll have to go back to bed. Oh but before I do…I wanted to thank Philip and Lauren again not only for watching our dogs for five weeks but for driving them down to us!!!!!! Thank you again Cindy and Cam for helping us move and watching our fish and plants for us!!! Also, thank you Juliane for flying all the way to Amsterdam to see me! It was really great spending time with you! We definitely should not wait another ten years to see each other! Karthik are really lucky to have such great friends and family!!

It absolutely amazes me how much you look like your grandmother! She would be so tickled with you. How can anyone have NO FLOUR? I can't even imagine not having STAPLES! Karthik is being a bad influence? By the time everyone gets here for Easter, I will be ready to REST -- so be prepared to WORK (I HAVE flour). Amsterdam looks really nice (and very cold). Get your rest. You have a busy weekend coming up!
