Greetings From India!!!!
Hey everyone!!! I just wanted to let y'all know that we got here safe and sound. We were going to call people today but most of the stores were closed (they don't really open until 9 or 10 in the morning). It would have been too late for us to call anyone there. We have been pretty busy lately because Karthik's parents are throwing us a very big party (well to me big they are saying it's small only 150 people). The other day we went to buy my jewelry for the party. I got a wedding necklace, 2 sets of earings, a diamond necklace, and a very pretty gold and pearl necklace. I felt bad because it cost a lot of money. His parents insisted that I have get them. Speaking of his parents they are extremely nice. They worry about my health constantly. In India pregnant women are not supposed to be active, they should rest. Two days ago I went on my fist auto rickshaw. Traveling on the roads in India is scary to say the least. They do not believe in traffic laws. Cars drive on both sides of the road!!! They get within inches of each other. However, there are so many people/cars on the roads that you don't ever go over 20 MPH. I have met some of Karthik's relatives they are also nice and very interested in
getting to know me. The other day we went to Karthik's old school. It was lunch time so the whole school was out on the grounds. All the children we excited/curious about the strange white lady roaming their school. They were crowding around me asking to shake my hand. Karthik keeps teasing that I am going to cause an accident because when I pass people they stare at me rather than looking at the road.
Hi...this is Karthik. If anyone is interested please call my home at the phone which I gave. Here is the way you do it.
Go to www.indiamama.com and purchase a calling card for $10 which will give about 3 hours of talk time. It is extremely cheap. Purchase the calling card Carrier 23. Please do call, we would love to hear from you especially people who are taking care of our son and daughter. Thanks a lot Philip and Lauren. Felicity cried the first day as she missed them....I think the pregnancy hormones are kicking in.

A New Year

This year Karthik and I decided to celebrate our anniversary low key. We walked around Rice Village and went to one of my favorite restaurants, Niko Niko's. Since New Year's Eve was such a beautiful day Karthik and I decided to go to the zoo. We had a great time looking at all the animals. Of course it did not occur to us to bring a camera until some other couple asked us to take their picture! At night we made dinner and took it to our friend's house to celebrate the new year by watching movies. Of course, Karthik spent most of his time eating and chasing down their rabbit, Dora. I was really proud of myself. I actually did not fall asleep. Midnight is waaaaay past my bed time. GO ME!
Other than that, Karthik and I are not so patiently waiting for our ultra sound on the 9th. I'm saving my minutes so that I call everyone and tell them the outcome. We also got our test results for the quad screening. Everything was normal. I was happy to hear that, but of course I was not really too worried about it in the first place. We are pretty much ready for India. We are going to talk to Karthik's parents this weekend to get an idea of what we are going to do while we are there. When we have a solid itinerary I'll post it so you can know around where we will be. We are taking our laptop with us so I will be able to post while I'm there as well.
